AI Solutions Engineer

As an AI Solutions Engineer you take a key role in implementing and scaling AI-based solutions in a highly dynamic, security-critical environment, at the interface between business, IT and end users. The position can be filled in Kassel, Kiel or Unterlüß.

• Responsibility for end-to-end implementation of AI use cases on our AI platform, from requirements gathering and assessment through prototyping to productive use
• Direct collaboration with departments (e.g. engineering, production, bid management) to integrate AI solutions into existing processes and systems
• Assembling, leading and steering interdisciplinary mission teams, e.g. AI engineers, software engineers, domain experts, including external development partners, for fast and effective delivery
• Ensuring optimal use of existing AI platform components, e.g. LLMs, vector databases, to develop scalable solutions
• Measuring and managing the added value of AI applications (e.g. efficiency gains, lead times, quality) and continuous optimization
• Close coordination with managers and project leads to prioritize and successfully implement use cases
• Compliance with security, compliance and governance requirements in a regulated environment

• Completed degree in computer science, business informatics, engineering or a comparable qualification
• Experience leading interdisciplinary teams or as a technical project lead/product owner in agile software development following Scrum
• Experience implementing complex software or data solutions directly at the customer or in operations (e.g. as Forward Deployment Engineer, Solution Engineer, Technical Consultant)
• Sound theoretical understanding and practical experience of modern AI technologies, e.g. LLMs, RAG, multi-agent systems
• Ability to translate technical solutions into concrete business value
• Very good German and English skills, written and spoken (at least C1)
• Confident manner with stakeholders at all levels
• Strong initiative, responsibility, hands-on mentality and enthusiasm for using AI in industrial applications
