Structural Mechanic / Automotive Mechatronics Technician Dock Operations

Neue Jadewerft GmbH in Wilhelmshaven is looking for a structural mechanic / automotive mechatronics technician for dock operations. Full-time, permanent contract.

• Producing ship blocking as specified
• Supporting the positioning of ships in the dock
• Performing transport work with industrial trucks or cranes
• Performing controlled lifting and lowering of ships in the docks, including checking load distribution and stability for various ship types, sizes and weights up to 7,500 t
• Controlling and monitoring the technical systems of the floating docks
• Regular inspection of the dock facilities, including pumps, valves, flaps, control systems and infrastructure
• Performing maintenance, repair and servicing of the dock facilities and reporting faults to specialist departments where needed
• Ensuring cleanliness and functionality of work areas and facilities
• Complying with all relevant safety regulations, work guidelines and environmental standards
• Monitoring the shipyard's own separator system according to DIN 1999-100

• Completed relevant vocational training
• Solid professional experience in mechanical engineering / metalworking
• Relevant professional experience at a shipyard or in a company in the maritime industry
• Motivation, willingness to do assembly work and teamwork skills
• Forklift and crane license
