Press and Public Relations Officer

Rheinmetall AG is looking for a press and public relations officer at division level in Düsseldorf, full-time with a permanent contract.

• Press and public relations for Rheinmetall at division level, especially on business topics, products and technology
• Supporting the group's corporate communications by writing speeches and talking points
• Answering press inquiries, placing topics in the media, supporting interviews, writing press releases and articles for trade journals
• Holding press talks and press-relevant events
• Preparing topics for different target groups and channels (incl. social media, internet, group publications and especially the group magazine)
• Contributing to the Corporate Newsroom: content for internal and external communication, such as topic planning, editing, production, image research and data management

• Successfully completed university degree, preferably in economics, humanities, social sciences or engineering, journalism or communications
• Several years of professional experience in media work and/or journalism
• Knowledge of the Bundeswehr and its equipment, military procurement and the security situation in Germany and Europe
• Very good written and spoken German and English. Further foreign languages are an advantage (especially Spanish and Italian)
• Routine use of the MS Office package (especially PowerPoint), willingness to learn new software tools and content management systems
• Affinity for technology topics
• Excellent command of expression and the ability to explain complex matters to the target audience
• Strong teamwork skills
