Clerk Quality Assurance - Software Testing

Rheinmetall Waffe Munition GmbH in Schneizlreuth is looking for a clerk for quality assurance in software testing. Full-time, permanent contract.

• Analysis of technical specifications, especially state machines and interface descriptions
• Derivation of test concepts and procedures within the given scope
• Performing functional, integration, system and software tests
• Analysis and testing of software interfaces, especially CANopen and IP-based communication with proprietary protocols
• Support in validating our control software (e.g. PLC, HMI)
• Creating, maintaining and documenting test cases and tracking bugs in the bug tracking system
• Verifying bug fixes and running regression tests
• Close coordination with software development and related departments, e.g. electrical engineering and system engineering
• Contributing to continuous improvement of test methods and processes and to evidence for information and system security

• Completed degree or completed technical training, e.g. in electrical engineering, mechatronics or computer science
• First professional experience in software testing or quality assurance in an industrial environment
• Good knowledge of industrial communication, especially CANopen and IP-based protocols
• Confident use of C++ and C#, as well as Qt and Python
• Good written and spoken German and English
• Careful, quality-oriented way of working, analytical thinking and ability to analyse errors systematically
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
