About this Apprenticeship
Part-time working student position at Rheinmetall Technologie Center GmbH in Düsseldorf, developing wireless communication systems.
What You'll Learn
- Development of wireless communication systems for UAVs and UGVs
- Design of analog/digital circuits, including HF/RF circuits, for wireless communication applications and radar technology
- Simulation, validation and optimization of circuits, e.g. simulation of HF/RF circuits
- Implementation of software algorithms for drone swarms
- Carrying out tests, data analysis and continuous further development
Requirements
- Ongoing studies in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, information technology or similar
- Confident use of circuit design tools such as Altium Designer, KiCAD or similar tools
- Knowledge of ADS/CADENCE and 3D EM development tools is an advantage
- Confident use of C/C++, Python and MATLAB
- First experience in programming microcontrollers
- Knowledge of antenna design (e.g. phased-array antennas)
- Very good German and English skills, written and spoken
- Strong analytical and creative thinking, motivation, team spirit and hands-on mentality
