Psychomotor Therapist, Physiotherapist or Movement Therapist in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy

University Hospital Giessen and Marburg is seeking a psychomotor therapist, physiotherapist or movement therapist to start as soon as possible at its Marburg department of child and adolescent psychiatry, psychosomatics and psychotherapy. This is a permanent position at 50% of full-time hours.

• Provide individual and group movement activities based on current clinical findings, particularly sport and movement, psychomotor activities, body awareness, relaxation techniques, and methods focused on skills, expression and interaction.
• Create individual therapy plans suited to clinical findings.
• Help further develop the clinic's movement therapy services.

• Skills in confidence and assertiveness training are desirable.
• Willingness to work a substantial part of your hours in the afternoon.
• A respectful therapeutic approach.

• Ability to work in a team.
• Flexibility and good organisational skills.
• Motivation and enjoyment of your work.
• A completed university degree in psychomotor therapy, at bachelor’s, master’s or equivalent level.
• Completed vocational training in psychomotor therapy, physiotherapy, movement therapy or dance therapy, or a comparable qualification.
• Preferably experience treating children and adolescents with mental health conditions.
