About this Apprenticeship
At Bosch, we shape the future with high-quality technologies and services that spark enthusiasm and improve people's lives. Our promise to our employees stands firm: we grow together, enjoy our work, and inspire each other. Welcome to Bosch. Robert Bosch GmbH looks forward to your application! Shape the semiconductor technology of the future with us! We are looking for innovation-driven Master's graduates and doctoral candidates who want to make a difference and develop the next generation of semiconductors for the automotive industry and consumer goods in our Junior Managers Program. Are you passionate about microelectronics, think future-oriented, and want to revolutionize the mobility and everyday technologies of tomorrow? Then we want to hear from you. Over an intensive 12- to 24-month journey, you will become part of our semiconductor division—the technological heart of modern innovation. You will rotate through various stations in Germany and abroad (e.g., in agile product departments, corporate start-ups, or classic line organizations) and dive deep into technology development, circuit design, or groundbreaking architectures for Systems-on-Chip (SoC). Your mission: identify future trends, develop innovative systems, and push the boundaries of technology. You will not only support—you will develop, decide, and shape. You will work in agile teams on technically fascinating and challenging products (such as power semiconductors for electric vehicles or MEMS sensors for smartphones) and lay the foundation for your future as a leader.
What You'll Learn
- You will learn how the development and manufacturing of high-tech semiconductors works within a global technology group—from the first concept to market maturity.
- You will actively shape the hardware of tomorrow: from power electronics for e-mobility and automotive system ICs/IP modules to MEMS sensors for smartphones, wearables, or drones.
- You will work in agile development teams, use state-of-the-art design and test tools, and develop your leadership skills together with your personal mentor at leadership level.
Requirements
- You have completed an outstanding Master's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Physics, or a related scientific field. Ideally, you already hold a doctorate or have initial professional experience in semiconductor development.
- You show true ingenuity and burn for topics such as power electronics, ASICs, circuit design, or MEMS sensors. Technical challenges are not barriers for you—they are your drive for innovation.
- You want to understand how semiconductor solutions transform entire industries—from automotive to consumer electronics—and how you can align your designs with the requirements of global markets.
- For you, leadership means continuously developing yourself and others. With courage, openness, tolerance, and mindfulness, you inspire your environment and win others over for your technological ideas.
- You question existing design and development processes, contribute your own creative solutions, and have the drive to implement ambitious innovation leaps. You already bring high-quality practical industry experience.
- You want to grow—both professionally and personally. You are curious about new tools, learn extremely fast, and like to take responsibility in a highly dynamic, technological environment.
- You communicate fluently in English (negotiation level) and have good German skills to navigate safely in our global and local engineering teams. Additionally, you have already gained at least three months of international experience.
What Robert Bosch GmbH offers
- Mentoring & Sponsoring: A mentor at leadership level will accompany you on your journey, actively support your development, and open doors for your next career steps with us.
- A culture of belonging: From day one, you will be part of a global community of trainees from diverse backgrounds and locations. Build authentic connections beyond formal projects through virtual meetings, local gatherings, or our (global) trainee summits.
- Flexible & hybrid working: We trust you to manage your work in a way that fits your life, with a flexible start date and a permanent employment contract. We offer a hybrid model that combines office and remote collaboration.
- Continuous learning: Benefit from up to 6 rotations in various departments, including an international rotation, supported by a generous budget for your professional development (courses, certifications, and conferences).
