Mandatory Internship Data Engineering – CAD Visualization

The team works on remanufacturing as a part of the circular economy. The goal is to automatically create an Operator Guided Instruction System (OGIS) for manual disassembly based on a CAD model and a disassembly sequence. Enrollment at a university is required for the internship.

• You develop a powerful Python pipeline for clearly visualizing disassembly sequences directly from CAD data.
• You independently choose the most suitable visualization tool, with interfaces such as the Teamcenter API, PLM Vis WEB or ParaView available to you.
• You design a strategy to display different views of component groups in the CAD model via the pipeline and highlight the components to be disassembled.
• You develop a structured approach to harmonize component IDs between the CAD model and the manufacturing data.
• You build a user-friendly graphical interface with Streamlit that allows intuitive control of the whole pipeline.

• Education: studies in data engineering, mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, industrial engineering, computer science or similar with good academic results
• Experience and know-how: first experience with Python; practical experience from internships or training desirable; ideally knowledge of CAD
• Working day: your on-site presence is required
