Apprenticeship as Industrial Mechanic, Specialization in Mechanical and Plant Engineering 2027

Overview: Training starts 1 September 2026, ends 31 January 2031 (can be shortened by 6 months). Practical training in Oberursel in small groups. In addition to vocational school, internal courses (e.g. B-inspector certification) and cross-departmental projects. Work independently and in teams using modern materials, precision tools and CNC machines following technical drawings (often in English). What to expect: Introductory workshop; Year 1: Basics of metalworking (filing, sawing, drilling, turning, milling, grinding, sheet metal); Year 2: Advanced turning, milling, grinding, measuring/testing equipment, hydraulic/pneumatic controls; Years 3/4: Collaboration with experienced colleagues, machining and manufacturing of engine components.

Introductory workshop; Year 1: Fundamentals of metalworking (manual processing, turning, milling, grinding, sheet metal); Year 2: Advanced operation of lathes, milling and grinding machines, use of measuring and testing equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic controls; Years 3 and 4: Collaboration with specialist departments, machining and manufacturing of engine components.

Strong interest in training at a leading aerospace company; reliable, responsible, careful work style; ability to work independently and in a team; enthusiasm for practical and technical tasks; good communication skills and basic English; good grades in maths and physics plus technical interest; very good lower secondary school certificate, good intermediate secondary school certificate, or university entrance qualification (Abitur).
