Basic and specialized training in metal processing; maintenance, repair, and fault analysis of programmable machines and production systems; manufacturing complex components with conventional and CNC-controlled cutting machines; familiarization with various production technologies, control engineering, PLC, and robotics; setting up and operating modern production plants and machining centers; assembly, commissioning, and optimization of systems; performing quality controls.

Intermediate school leaving certificate (Mittlere Reife) or good qualifying lower secondary school certificate; interest in science subjects such as mathematics, physics, and technology; manual dexterity; teamwork skills.
