In the object planning architecture team, you work on the planning of office buildings, laboratories, production facilities, and logistics centers. As a Technical Construction Drafter (m/f/d) – formerly draftsperson – you use modern CAD and BIM methods to create and further develop technical drawings, plans, and digital building models. In vocational school, you deepen your knowledge of construction planning, design, building technology, and building materials, creating the ideal basis for your career entry. The dual apprenticeship consists of two learning locations: the training company and the vocational school. While you gain practical experience in the company and get to know the processes of everyday working life, the vocational school teaches the theoretical foundations of the profession. This way, practice and theory complement each other optimally and you are prepared step by step for your professional qualification.

Transform ideas and designs into precise technical drawings and digital models. Work with state-of-the-art CAD software to create floor plans, elevations, sections, and detail and execution plans. Create 2D and 3D models for exciting construction projects and continuously develop them further. Apply the BIM method (Building Information Modeling) and actively shape the digital planning of construction projects. Create, update plan documents, and intelligently integrate technical information into planning. Determine quantities and masses and create important bases for project planning. Get to know the collaboration of different disciplines in complex construction projects. Accompany our site managers on construction sites and experience first-hand how plans become reality. Learn modern working methods and digital processes in architectural and construction planning.

At least a good intermediate school leaving certificate (Mittlere Reife), technical college entrance qualification (Fachoberschulreife), or general higher education entrance qualification (Hochschulreife). Good grades in German, math, and physics. Good spatial imagination, technical understanding, and creative flair. Enjoyment of technical drawing by hand and on PC as well as interest in architecture. Fun working with the PC. Good comprehension and concentration skills. Careful and structured way of working, teamwork ability, and independent and conscientious work. Good verbal and written expression skills and curiosity.
