Apprenticeship as a Technical System Planner, Electrical Engineering (09/2027)

As a technical system planner, you support the design of modern electrical systems for offices, production buildings, laboratories and logistics centres. The 3.5-year dual apprenticeship takes place at the company and vocational school and teaches practical and theoretical foundations of digital building and energy technology.

You turn planning ideas and technical concepts into digital drawings, plans and 3D models. You work with CAD programmes and digital planning tools, create and develop models for building and energy technology projects, prepare plans for power supply, lighting, communications and safety systems, produce circuit, electrical-flow and cabling plans, carry out technical calculations, organise technical data in plans, tables and documentation, learn to collaborate across disciplines and gradually take on more responsibility in construction projects.

At least a good intermediate school-leaving certificate with good grades in German, mathematics and physics; good spatial awareness, technical understanding and design skills; enjoyment of technical drawing by hand and on a computer, plus an interest in building technology; good computer and Office skills; good comprehension and concentration; careful and structured working methods, teamwork and independent work.
