As a logistics specialist you control and monitor all processes around the entire logistics chain and form an important interface internally and externally – both team- and customer-oriented. Tasks are very diverse, ranging from ordering and receiving goods to proper and intelligent storage and inventory control, to picking and shipping. During training at Siemens you learn about work organization, operational purchasing, and quality management. You also deal with the networking of logistics processes, as goods and components increasingly communicate, logistics systems partially organize themselves, and even AI supports efficient material flow. Your workday is exciting, combining PC work, interesting warehouse tasks, and many contacts. Technologies in our plants and logistics centers are highly modern and fully digitalized with automated storage systems and RFID and IoT technology. You also operate forklifts and direct autonomous transport systems.
