About this Apprenticeship
SIGNAL IDUNA Asset Management GmbH is a subsidiary of the SIGNAL IDUNA Group and coordinates securities portfolio management for the group's companies. As the central contact for credit risk in fixed income, you analyze markets and issuers and actively help shape the direct investment portfolio in operational portfolio management.
What You'll Learn
- You independently create credit analyses for banks, insurers, countries (sovereigns) and supranational institutions (supras) and review new candidates for the positive list
- You integrate sustainability aspects (ESG) directly into your analyses, assess risks and further develop the related processes
- You actively support our digitalization by moving decentralized data applications and Excel solutions (IDVs) into a central database landscape and automating processes with AI
- In the medium term you support the operational management and further expansion of the corporate private debt strategy
- Maintaining our analysis tools is part of your tasks, as is contributing new ideas for credit analysis and risk assessment
- You contribute to strategic investment concepts and operational proposals and support internal product review processes
- You take an active part in planning, coordination and information meetings and represent our topics at internal and external conferences
Requirements
- Successfully completed degree in economics, financial mathematics or a comparable qualification with a finance focus – for example as Chartered Financial Analyst or Certified Risk Manager – as well as a corresponding commercial apprenticeship
- Solid professional experience in credit analysis of financial institutions or public issuers, or in portfolio management
- Analytical thinking combined with a structured, precise and independent way of working and enjoyment of teamwork
- Sound knowledge of sustainability analysis and a clear understanding of regulatory ESG requirements in the financial sector
- Enthusiasm for digitalization and automation as well as practical experience at the interface with IT projects or in introducing AI-supported applications
- Knowledge of the rating tools of RSU or S&P Capital IQ is an advantage
- Fluent German and English, spoken and written
