Dual Study Program in Civil Engineering (B.Eng.), Roads, Bridges and Water Management

The three-and-a-half-year programme combines theory and practice at the Nuremberg Public Space Service. The theoretical foundations are taught at Nuremberg Technical University.

• Complete a regular Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with advanced practical phases in various areas of road, bridge and water construction
• Support tendering, smaller project planning, work in the municipal geographic information system, construction supervision, the client function, project coordination and the supervision of external engineering firms and construction companies
• Gain the qualification to independently handle future tasks in the planning, construction, renovation and maintenance of transport facilities, civil engineering structures, waterways and public spaces

• General or subject-specific higher education entrance qualification, unrestricted university of applied sciences entrance qualification or equivalent recognised qualification
• Completed pre-internship involving manual work on a construction site, no later than the start of the study programme
• Physical fitness for the duties and the pre-internship
• For foreign school qualifications: proof of higher education access and the German-language skills required for the programme and later work
• Category B driving licence
• Interest in scientific, legal and technical issues and sustainable technical solutions
• Strong willingness to learn, organisational skills and negotiating ability
• Ability to work in a team, flexibility and resilience
