Apprenticeship as a Machining Mechanic

This practical three-and-a-half-year apprenticeship includes attendance at the regional vocational school at Berufsbildungszentrum Prüm and strong integration into current projects and production.

Produce precision components using turning, milling, drilling, electrical discharge machining, grinding and additive manufacturing according to technical drawings; set up, program and equip modern CNC production machines; and handle tools, materials and material knowledge.

Good grades in physics, chemistry and mathematics; an interest in and basic understanding of technical and physical subjects; enjoyment of working with metal and plastic; manual skills; spatial awareness; structured and independent working; adaptability; perseverance; and team spirit.
