Apprentice Mechatronics Technician 2027 (in Essen, Duisburg, Recklinghausen)

At Thyssengas you help on the way to a climate-friendly future. In the first 18 months you learn the basics of a mechatronics technician, such as sawing, welding, drilling and flame cutting, plus electronics basics, at the RWE Generation SE training center in Essen. From the end of the second year, you work mainly at the operating sites in Recklinghausen and Duisburg, where you get to know Thyssengas's technical departments. You also attend vocational college. The apprenticeship lasts 3.5 years, and can be shortened with good performance. Start is 1 August 2027.

• Learn the basics of a mechatronics technician: sawing, welding, drilling, flame cutting and electronics basics
• Work at the sites in Recklinghausen and Duisburg and learn the daily tasks of a mechatronics technician
• Explore the technical departments of Thyssengas
• Attend vocational college

• Intermediate secondary school certificate or Abitur; dropped-out students also welcome
• Interest in electrical engineering and mechanics
• Motivated, curious and open to new things
• Mobile, in order to get to know the different locations
• An internship in a technical field is a plus
