Apprenticeship and Retail Management Specialist Program for Future Managers

Starting on 01 August 2027, toom offers a program for future managers in a DIY store. Within 18 months, you will qualify as a Retail Salesperson, followed by further training as a Retail Management Specialist and an instructor qualification.

• You learn about retail, toom and store processes from different perspectives.
• You rotate through different departments and learn about the product ranges.
• You advise customers and conduct sales conversations.
• You accompany store managers in their daily work.
• About every six weeks, you attend five-day theory modules in Neuwied.

• General university entrance qualification or university of applied sciences entrance qualification.
• You enjoy meeting customers and interacting with people.
• You are interested in retail and DIY products.
• You have strong communication skills.
• You enjoy working in a team and would later like to lead one.
• You are highly committed, resilient and well organized.
• You are regionally flexible for the Retail Management Specialist training.
