About this Apprenticeship
Train at toom's DIY store in Wernigerode from 1 August 2027: qualify as a sales assistant in two years or a retail sales professional in three years. A supportive team guides you. Training takes place during store opening hours.
What You'll Learn
- Rotate through different departments and be the first point of contact for customers
- Give advice, know the products, and have the right tools and materials ready
- Take responsibility for your own projects and contribute your ideas
- Keep developing through apprentice seminars and specialist training so you are well prepared for your exam
- Learn about advising customers, displaying products, till work, and daily store operations.
- In the three-year apprenticeship, also deepen your business knowledge, take responsibility for your own projects, and develop into a sales professional.
Requirements
- Enjoy helping customers get what they need
- Friendly manner
- Openness and enjoyment of communicating with others
- Strong interest in the products sold in the DIY store
- At least a lower secondary school leaving certificate
