About this Apprenticeship
We are successful because we trade. And we do it with pleasure. Every day we reliably supply professional bulk buyers with fresh food, diverse non-food items and innovative services. We support our gastronomic and commercial customers with friendly advice and holistic concepts. Because sustainability is a special concern for us, it is the focus of our actions. We are always happy to find colleagues who share this attitude with us: Trading. Gladly with pleasure. Are you interested in trade, organisation and direct contact with people? Do you have a lower secondary or intermediate school leaving certificate? Then start your three-year apprenticeship as a management assistant for wholesale and foreign trade in the market and discover how exciting it is to plan assortments, advise customers and actively contribute to our company's success!
What You'll Learn
Assortment maintenance: you ensure the product range stays current (restocking, correct placement, checking stocks/prices/labels). Goods receipt: you accept deliveries, check quantity and quality, enter goods into the system and store them correctly. Customer services: you advise customers, answer questions, support complaints/exchanges and find suitable solutions. Merchandise planning: you plan and order goods according to demand so that enough is available and no overstock arises. Analysis of business key figures: you evaluate e.g. turnover, sales and stock levels and derive improvements/ordering decisions. Warehouse and logistics processes: you organise goods flow and warehouse structure (picking, packing, inventory) and ensure order and safety.
Requirements
Interest in trade and products: desire to work with goods, assortments and trends. Customer orientation & communication skills: friendly, helpful, able to explain and listen well. Reliability & sense of responsibility: keeps agreements, works carefully (e.g. at checkout, goods receipt, orders). Organisational talent: can prioritise tasks (stocking shelves, reordering, serving customers). Numerical understanding: for price/quantity calculations and simple key figures. IT affinity: no fear of merchandise management systems, scanners, digital processes. (Physical) resilience & flexibility: stays calm even in stressful times; willingness to work shifting hours and Saturdays. Initiative & willingness to learn: gets stuck in, asks questions, accepts feedback and develops further.
