Medical Technologist / Institute of Pathology

Part-time position as a medical technologist at the Institute of Pathology of Rostock University Medical Center (reference no. 391 N/2026).

• Preparing paraffin sections for histopathological and immunohistochemical diagnostics
• Performing standard and special histological stains
• Cutting tissue blocks on the rotary microtome/sliding microtome
• Helping organize laboratory workflow (sample receipt, documentation, preparing solutions)
• Finding, archiving and digitizing tissue section slides for the research project

• A completed vocational training as a medical technologist (MTA)
• Practical experience with standard histology methods is required
• Secure German skills in speaking and writing (at least proven B2 level for non-native speakers)
