Specialist Physician, IRuN

The Institute for Rescue and Emergency Medicine (IRuN) at UKSH is the largest emergency medicine institute in Schleswig-Holstein and is responsible for quality assurance in in-hospital emergency medicine. It advises UKSH and external organizations on prehospital and in-hospital emergency and intensive care as well as disaster medicine, and is active in training, research, and scientific events.

• Professional and organizational involvement in prehospital and in-hospital medical training
• Designing and revising innovative training and simulation formats
• Acting as a specialist physician lecturer in the institute’s training and simulation sessions
• Participation in the emergency physician and intensive care transport service of the city of Kiel
• If interested, participation in the institute’s research projects and the opportunity to pursue a doctorate or habilitation in emergency medicine

• Completed specialist medical training in anesthesiology, surgery, internal medicine, pediatrics, neurology, or another specialty related to emergency medicine
• Qualification as an emergency physician and extensive experience in prehospital and in-hospital emergency care, ideally including TNA qualification
• Teaching experience, demonstrated for example through instructor work in ERC or DIVI ANNA courses, TraumaManagement, or similar
• Very good communication skills
• Class B driving licence, or preferably C1
