Industrial Mechanic, Mechatronics Technician as Contract Welder / Machine Operator in Rail Maintenance

• Operation of the hand-guided Vossloh Flexis system for processing and maintenance of switches and rails
• Contract welding on tracks to rectify individual defects and restore usability
• Conducting ultrasonic tests (ET2) on rails and switches for early fault detection
• Evaluation of test results and initiation of appropriate measures in coordination with the team
• Participation in repair and maintenance work on our machines and test equipment
• Preparation of daily construction site and test reports as proof of work performed
• Deployment in local transport and on mainline railways, predominantly in field service
• Work in assembly teams on construction sites in Germany and – depending on the project – also in other European countries
• Through your work, you make a direct contribution to the safety and sustainable use of rail networks in Europe

• Completed technical training in a metalworking profession, e.g., industrial mechanic, maintenance technician, operating technician, metalworker, mechatronics technician, or similar
• Initial experience in contract welding or in rail or track maintenance is an advantage; alternatively, you have knowledge in the field of railway technology/track construction or the willingness to systematically familiarize yourself with this area
• Experience in non-destructive testing (e.g., ultrasound) is an advantage, alternatively willingness to qualify accordingly (e.g., ET2)
• Class B driver's license required
• Willingness to travel and work on assignments in Germany and Europe as well as willingness to work flexible hours (including possible night and weekend work) according to operational requirements in the railway sector
• Motivated, reliable, and goal-oriented way of working, combined with teamwork skills and good communication
