Truck Driver / Shunter

As a Wiesel driver, you drive our transfer vehicles (Wiesel) and move bridges on our yard to ensure smooth operations at goods receipt and dispatch. As the link between our transport specialists and drivers of international freight forwarders, you coordinate heavy goods from all over the world – without any travel. Your work is characterized by a motivating team spirit based on appreciation, respect, and openness. Together with your team, you work on achieving operational daily targets as well as improving processes. In doing so, you identify with our leadership model, live our values, and use both as a compass in your daily business.

• Drive our Wiesel prudently. With your defensive driving style, you ensure a safe and orderly working environment at all times.
• Depending on the driving order, you move swap bodies from international transport service providers to the gates and pull them away again in good time.
• Load pallets and packages into trucks and support colleagues from other departments when needed. With your curiosity and openness, you learn further processes in Zalando logistics.
• Act as a role model for your colleagues by completing your tasks effectively and with a high level of quality awareness.

• You possess a truck driver's license class CE.
• You are confident in handling large machines and distinguish yourself through a prudent driving style.
• You have experience in operating transfer vehicles.
• Your focus on occupational safety and health protection is a top priority.
• You behave exemplarily both in handling the machines and in your driving style.
• You feel comfortable in an international environment.
• You have good German language skills, both written and spoken.
• You optionally also speak English, French, Russian, Polish, Bulgarian, or Romanian. This would make communication with international drivers even easier.
