School Leaver Programme in Retail Management

Training programme for future managers at Action leading to three Chamber of Industry and Commerce qualifications in three years: retail sales management, advanced retail management and trainer certification. You learn operational, organisational and leadership skills while progressing through roles from sales to store management.

• Start with sales tasks such as stocking shelves, maintaining stock, operating tills and advising customers
• Gradually learn management tasks such as product displays and seasonal layout changes, ordering, returns, till reconciliation and stocktaking
• Then take on staff scheduling and management, as employees are at the heart of Action
• In your third training year, work on projects such as supporting new store openings, analysing stores with regional management or helping organise applicant days

• General university entrance qualification or university of applied sciences entrance qualification with proof of internships (see Chamber of Industry and Commerce requirements)
• Interest in leadership and responsibility for a store
• Willingness to learn, work hard and adapt to change
