Apprenticeship Geriatric Nursing Assistant

Empathetic support of residents with daily personal care, dressing, and hygiene to promote well-being. Promoting independence by assisting with getting up, walking, light exercises, and motivating active participation in daily life. Daily companionship as a reliable reference person through conversations, shared meals, games, or walks, building genuine interpersonal relationships. Working in a warm, collegial team with open communication, mutual support, and a positive work atmosphere.

At least basic school leaving certificate (Berufsreife). Joy and patience in dealing with elderly people, plus motivation and reliability.

One-year apprenticeship ending with state examination. Alternating practical and theoretical phases with regular training and project days. Internships in nursing and outpatient externships. Innovative learning methods: VR headsets for interactive learning. Leave for self-study, support from training officers and practical instructors, 30 days vacation/year and special leave for exam preparation. Occupational health management (BGM) actively promoting health with opportunities to participate in shaping the facility.
