About this Apprenticeship
As an ADAC roadside assistance patrol driver in Schwäbisch Gmünd, you help members with vehicle breakdowns using a modern mobile workshop. This permanent full-time role includes shift and weekend work, with 37 hours per week, reducing to 36 from 2027.
What You'll Learn
- You use your vehicle knowledge to provide members with reliable, professional help at breakdown locations.
- You diagnose and repair faults in motor vehicles and bicycles, make them roadworthy again and advise road users about possible next steps.
- You work closely with dispatch staff and external partners to keep roadside assistance running smoothly.
- You are members' first contact at the scene, advise them about membership, explain additional services and recruit new ADAC members.
Requirements
- You have completed vocational training as an automotive mechatronics technician, vehicle mechanic or automotive electrician and are ready to use and develop your skills.
- You hold a valid category B driving licence or the former category 3 licence.
- You work independently and reliably and have a friendly, professional manner.
- You are willing to work shifts and weekends; flexible working arrangements, including part-time work, are available.
- You think creatively, are open to new challenges, enjoy using modern IT systems and like learning new things.
What ADAC Südbayern e.V. offers
- You receive a permanent contract for 37 hours per week, reducing to 36 hours from 2027.
