Lead Company Doctor / Specialist in Occupational Medicine

Airbus Aerostructures is seeking a lead company doctor in Nordenham to start as soon as possible. The role involves preventing physical and mental health problems caused by work, managing an external medical provider, improving Medical Services, leading the health team on professional matters and building workplace health management and health promotion structures.

• Act as a strategic partner to management and human resources as the lead occupational physician.
• Provide professional leadership for the site's occupational health centre and ensure high quality occupational healthcare under ASIG.
• Develop the vision for comprehensive workplace health management, focusing on prevention, mental health and ergonomics.
• Provide specialist support to the workplace reintegration team and promote lasting reintegration through close coordination.
• Advise plant management and managers on health protection, working closely with occupational safety staff, the works council and external social insurance bodies.
• Drive digitalisation in healthcare.

• Specialist qualification in occupational medicine; ideally, an additional qualification in emergency medicine and a second specialist qualification in a field involving direct patient care.
• Several years of clinical and workplace medical experience, ideally in an industrial setting or an external occupational health service.
• Enjoyment of providing professional inspiration and coordination for a team of company doctors and medical assistants.
• A modern service focused approach, strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex medical matters clearly.
• Business fluent German and English; French or Spanish skills are welcome.
• Awareness of possible compliance risks and a commitment to acting with integrity.
