Intern in Quality Efficiency

Airbus Aerostructures is looking for an intern in quality efficiency (cost improvement/efficiency gains) to support the Quality Management Team. Location: Hamburg Finkenwerder. Start: 01.01.2027. Duration: 6-7 months.

• Focused inventory: detailed recording and cataloguing of inspection costs (Cost of Inspection) at the individual plants, focusing on the pillar "Inspection (Do / Attestation & Surveillance)".
• Identify differences: compare the plants to find differences in the differently handled approaches to quality inspections.
• Identify best practices: analyze the different approaches within the Airbus Aerostructures plants and, where needed, through external benchmarks.
• Efficiency recommendations: develop concrete recommendations and improvement approaches to raise the efficiency of quality inspections across plants.
• Focus on "Make" area: the scope is strictly limited to the "Make" area (in-house production); the "Buy" area (external sourcing) is excluded.
• Cost of Non-Quality (CoNQ): failure costs are part of the study but must be addressed separately.

• Enrolled full-time student (d/m/w) in industrial engineering, production engineering, mechanical engineering, business administration or a comparable field.
• Strong interest in quality management, quality inspection processes and cost-effectiveness analyses (Cost of Quality).
• Willingness to travel on business to our sites in northern and southern Germany and Romania.
• Fluent German and English.
• Experience with Google Suite.
• Structured, analytical and independent way of working.
