About this Apprenticeship
To support the "Technical Publication Eurofighter GE" team, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a technical writer for Eurofighter Combat in Manching.
What You'll Learn
- Analysing hardware and software related aircraft changes and their impact on the technical documentation
- Planning the necessary documentation changes based on validity/configuration databases and tools, including preparing quotes
- Creating and changing user-oriented descriptions (Flight Manuals) for aircraft systems in SGML using the ASD specification S1000D
- Coordinating and working with test flight personnel to collect, select and prepare data and information
- Building, editing and maintaining IT tools and databases related to aircrew documentation
- Optimising processes and data models for customer adaptation of technical documentation for the Air Force, considering national requirements and rules
- Taking responsibility in creating and revising relevant processes and IT tools
Requirements
- Degree in a technical/scientific field or comparable technical training
- Experience as a pilot (d/f/m) or within an aircraft crew
- Good IT skills regarding the tools and databases used, plus the ability to improve, expand and further develop them
- Enthusiasm for editorial processes and new technologies, and the ability and willingness to work in a team
- Ability to describe complex technical matters in clear language and in a didactically correct way
- Excellent German and English in speech and writing, especially in a technical context
