Sales Assistant / Retail Salesperson Training Starting 1 August 2027

During the two-year training program to become a sales assistant or the three-year training program to become a retail salesperson, you will learn how retail processes work, from ordering goods and receiving them to presenting and storing goods, selling them and implementing sales-promoting measures.

• Accept deliveries of goods
• Put goods away and present them
• Check freshness in the fruit and vegetable department
• Ensure the availability of bakery products
• Operate the checkout and reconcile the till
• Ensure order and cleanliness in the store

• A school-leaving qualification, such as a qualifying lower secondary school certificate or intermediate school certificate
• Enthusiasm for food and consumer goods
• Motivation, initiative and reliability
• Numeracy skills and willingness to apply them actively
• Team spirit and enjoyment of contact with customers
• Good German skills, at least level B1, to ensure smooth communication with customers
