Primary Qualifying Nursing Degree Place

Dual bachelor's degree in nursing at Alexianer St. Joseph-Krankenhaus Berlin-Weißensee, a centre for neurology, psychiatry, psychotherapy and psychosomatics, full-time. Theory at Alice Salomon Hochschule Berlin, practice at the hospital and partner facilities. Degree: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) including state licence as a nursing professional and permission to carry out extended medical tasks. Study duration: 7 semesters (210 credit points), 3.5 years. Applications for the winter semester 2026 are no longer accepted. Applications for the summer semester 2027 are expected to be possible from October/November 2026.

• Practice at Alexianer St. Joseph-Krankenhaus Berlin-Weißensee and other facilities
• Applying the nursing process: assessment, nursing diagnostics, planning, implementation and evaluation
• Working in interprofessional teams (e.g. ward rounds, case discussions, discharge management)
• Acquiring extended medical competencies (regularly part of the curriculum), including in the following areas:
• Diabetic metabolic state: assessment, counselling and therapy adjustment
• Dementia: diagnostic assessment, non-drug interventions, and counselling for patients and their relatives
• Chronic wounds: modern wound management and helping shape interdisciplinary care concepts

• General university entrance qualification, university of applied sciences entrance qualification or equivalent admission eligibility (under § 11 BerlHG)
• Interest in scientific work and in developing nursing practice
• Empathy, sense of responsibility, care and teamwork
• Willingness to do practical phases in shift work (including weekends and public holidays, depending on assignment)
• Positive attitude toward the Christian values of our company
