Training as Train Driver (Retraining)

You start an 11-month retraining program for career changers at the Stuttgart location in full-time, consisting of theoretical and practical lessons including simulator training. We prepare you for railway operations and driving a locomotive, as well as occupational safety, accident prevention, first aid, and emergency management. Afterwards, you form the core of our company as a train driver together with your colleagues and steer our passengers safely and punctually to their destination.

You have reached the legal minimum age of 20. You have at least a secondary school diploma (Hauptschulabschluss), preferably also a vocational training (e.g., crafts, hospitality, retail, logistics). You speak (very) good German for the important communication with your control center. And you are willing to work in shift rotations – including Sundays and public holidays.

Already during training, a monthly gross salary of €3,000. Afterwards, starting at approx. €4,100 gross per month (based on average allowances and other salary components; annual gross salary approx. €50,000), with an upward trend. €2,000 bonus for successfully completing the qualification plus an attractive company pension scheme. After qualification, a secure job at a fixed reporting location where every shift begins and ends. We are not a large corporation but a dynamic young company where every individual counts.
