• The tasks can vary greatly depending on the area of deployment:
• Support with childcare on the ward
• Assistant tasks in the emergency room or in the inpatient area
• General household tasks and errands (ancillary work on the ward)
• Accompanying patients and parents to examinations
• Monitoring vital signs under supervision (pulse, respiration, blood pressure, temperature, and weight)
• Food supply
• Admission of patients under supervision

• Minimum age 17 years
• Parental consent for applicants under 18 years of age
• Social competence in dealing with sick people
• Medical fitness
• Reliability, contact, communication and teamwork skills
• Proof of Hepatitis B and measles vaccinations, and for deployment in the pediatric clinic, also rubella, mumps, chickenpox, Hepatitis A, diphtheria, and pertussis/poliomyelitis
• Proof of training according to §43 ISchG
• Motivation and interest in helping people
