University Internship Research and Development: AI Applications for Internal Processes and Data

For the research and development of surgical instruments, Aesculap is looking for a student (f/m/d) at its Tuttlingen site for the summer semester 2027 to support the design and implementation of AI applications for internal processes and automation, and the analysis of internal data.

• Analyse existing workflows together with R&D staff and identify potential for AI and digital tools
• Capture and assess suitable use cases through to technical implementation of selected solutions as working prototypes
• Work directly in product development teams with insight into surgical innovations, the product development process and regulatory requirements

• You study computer science, AI management, business informatics or a comparable degree programme
• Ideally practical experience with tools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps, Python, SQL, SAP, APIs and database interfaces
• You are interested in AI applications in business processes and regulatory requirements
• You are enthusiastic about AI, digitalisation, automation and new technologies
• High self-motivation, independent working style and strong result orientation
• Teamwork and communication skills and a high willingness to learn
• Very good German and English skills (each at least B2)
