University Internship Research and Development AI Applications for Internal Processes and Data

For the research and development of surgical instruments (for open surgery, minimally invasive surgery, neurosurgery and robotic instruments) we are looking for a student (f/m/d) at the Tuttlingen site for the summer semester 2027 to support the conception and implementation of AI applications for internal processes and automation as well as for the analysis of internal data.

• You analyze existing workflows together with employees from research and development and identify potentials for the use of AI and digital tools
• Your area of responsibility ranges from the recording and evaluation of suitable use cases to the technical implementation of selected solutions in the form of functional prototypes
• You work directly in the product development teams and gain insights into the implementation of surgical innovations taking into account the product development process and regulatory requirements

• You are studying Computer Science, AI Management, Business Informatics or a comparable degree program
• Ideally you have practical experience with tools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps, Python, SQL, SAP, APIs and database interfaces
• You are interested in AI applications in business processes and regulatory requirements
• You are enthusiastic about AI, digitalization, automation and new technologies
• You are characterized by high self-motivation, independent working style and a strong results orientation
• Team and communication skills as well as a high willingness to learn are a matter of course for you
• You have very good German and English skills (at least B2 each)
