Financial Accountant Hybrid Option

The "Global Business Services" unit supports the BASF business units with a cross-functional network and provides modern and needs-based solutions for this. As a specialized service unit, we stand for high customer orientation and design our services in a partnership-based, efficient, and forward-looking manner. Become part of our international Financial Reporting team as a financial accountant. In this position, you are responsible for general ledger activities and act as an interface between various departments and our corporate headquarters. You work closely with our group companies and ensure a smooth process of all accounting processes. In doing so, you have the opportunity to continuously apply and expand your expertise in financial reporting.

• In this role, you process business transactions in the general ledger as well as in asset/leasing accounting and perform reconciliation with sub-ledgers.
• In addition, you prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to IFRS and HGB for German BASF group companies.
• You support income tax calculations and contribute to group reporting.
• Moreover, you act as the central contact person in accounting matters for our subsidiaries, other finance departments, central finance units of BASF, and external auditors.
• Furthermore, you actively work in projects and coordinate the technical and procedural further development of our organization in cooperation with our partners and shape the transition to the new SAP version S/4HANA together with us.
• Together with your colleagues, you actively contribute to our good team spirit and the further development of the organization.

• Completed degree in business administration / training with focus on accounting or equivalent qualification.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, and ideally user knowledge of SAP R/3 and SAP S/4.
• Very good German and good English skills.
