Apprenticeship Chemical Plant Operator

A chemical company without its chemical plant operators? Unthinkable! At BASF you get a close look at an exciting product world and are right in the middle of producing many chemical products. The training is run in cooperation with the Heinrich-Hertz-Berufskolleg Düsseldorf. Applications open from August 2026, and there is no deadline as long as places are available.

• Preparing, controlling and monitoring production processes
• Helping develop processes for making chemical products from organic and inorganic raw materials
• Carrying out maintenance work
• Taking product samples and testing them in the lab
• Maintaining high standards of environmental protection and occupational safety

• At least a good Hauptschulabschluss (lower secondary school certificate)
• Enthusiasm for chemistry and technology
• Willingness to work shifts from the start of training
• Strong sense of responsibility, accuracy and care at work
