Financial Accountant - Hybrid Option

In addition to the general ledger, you are responsible for fixed asset accounting and ensure reconciliation with the subledgers. Furthermore, you are responsible for the timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS, as well as the preparation of income tax calculations for German BASF Group companies. You are responsible for preparing the monthly group reporting and answering internal and external inquiries related to reporting. In accounting matters, you serve as the central point of contact for our subsidiaries, the subledgers, and BASF’s central finance units.

• In accounting matters, you serve as the central point of contact for our subsidiaries, the subledgers, and BASF’s central finance units.

• commercial vocational training, preferably with a focus on taxation, or a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting, Controlling, or Taxation
• initial professional experience in external financial reporting as well as knowledge of preparing financial statements in accordance with HGB, ideally, some initial experience with IFRS
• proficient in using common MS Office applications (especially Excel), as well as ideally user-level knowledge of SAP R/3 and SAP S/4HANA
• very good German language skills and good English language skills
