Music Support Specialist

In the North-East Brandenburg network, in the area of participation, employment and education, people with different cognitive, intellectual, physical and mental impairments are supported. To expand the music offerings, a committed and creative music support worker is sought at the Lobetal, Eberswalde and Blütenberg sites. 20 hours per week, permanent.

• Developing, carrying out, preparing and following up needs-based individual and group music activities
• Individually promoting the musical abilities, interests and means of expression of the employees
• Proper documentation of the individual and group activities carried out
• Close and trusting cooperation with managers and staff
• Creating meaningful information reports and recording support needs - this includes in particular coordination of timing, quality and quantity

• a completed training as a special needs care worker, special education teacher, educator (m/f/d) or an equivalent qualification
• a high level of musical skill and talent
• solid practical skills with one or more musical instruments
• empathy, patience and a respectful approach to people with different impairments
• enjoyment of independent work as well as teamwork
• sense of responsibility, reliability and organizational skills
• Knowledge of BTHG, ICF and ITP is desirable
• Submission of an extended police clearance certificate and a class B driver's license
