Addiction Support Specialist ID 36470

Hoffnungstaler Stiftung Lobetal is seeking a support assistant to start as soon as possible in its outpatient addiction and mental health services in Bernau OT Lobetal. The role is for 30 hours per week and is initially temporary cover for sickness absence.

• Provide care that considers each client's overall needs and supports participation in community life
• Help clients live with dignity, remain free from alcohol or drugs, take as much responsibility for their own lives as possible and build everyday living conditions that support community participation
• Encourage, support, guide and assist clients with daily life and leisure activities
• Encourage, support, advise and assist clients in building local social relationships and developing physical and thinking skills
• Encourage, support, guide and assist clients in looking after their health

• Completed vocational training in disability support, elderly care, general nursing, occupational therapy, special needs education or another state-recognized profession, with additional training in addiction support and/or psychosocial support
• Experience working with people with addictions, mental illness or dementia
• Or simply a willingness to work with people who have addictions and other conditions at the same time
