IT client support specialist

Permanent full-time role in a hospital IT department in Berlin, starting as soon as possible. You will maintain IT workstations, client devices and meeting room equipment, and support users during ongoing hospital operations.

• Ensure hospital IT workstations operate reliably to support safe, continuous patient care.
• Independently install, configure, maintain and repair PCs, laptops and tablets.
• Set up, test and support meeting room equipment, particularly displays, projectors, video conferencing systems, cameras and microphones.
• Support users with hardware, software and operating problems on site and, when needed, through remote access.
• Set up, support and reorganise IT workstations in clinical areas, wards and administration, including moves and new installations.
• Provide, replace, record and collect client devices and accessories.
• Independently analyse and resolve IT faults, prioritise support requests and document work clearly in the IT ticket system.
• Pass more complex faults to the responsible IT specialist teams and coordinate with external service providers.
• Follow IT security and data protection requirements during all work in clinical areas.

• Completed vocational training as an IT specialist in systems integration, an IT systems electronics technician or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience in on-site IT support and independently resolving hardware and workstation faults.
• Confidence using Windows PCs, laptops, tablets and common client hardware.
• Practical knowledge of setting up and supporting mobile devices; knowledge of mobile device management is an advantage.
• Experience with printers, scanners, monitors, docking stations and other workstation equipment.
• Basic knowledge of LAN, Wi-Fi and TCP/IP to identify workstation connection problems.
• Ideally, experience with presentation, video conferencing and meeting room equipment.
• A strong service focus, enjoyment of direct contact with users and an independent approach focused on solving problems.
• Reliability and understanding of the high demands of ongoing hospital operations.
