Educational Specialist Outpatient Supported Living

The Diakonie Freistatt of Bethel im Norden is looking for an Educational Specialist (m/f/d) for its Outpatient Supported Living service at the Diepholz location, starting at the earliest possible date. The position is permanent, with 19.5 hours per week.

• Counselling, support & participation: You accompany the clients of our facility on their path to greater self-determination and social participation under the BTHG
• Support planning & development: You create individual support plans, develop them further together with the clients and help them reach their personal goals
• Networking & cooperation: Through regular exchange with authorities, organisations and other partners, you ensure holistic support that meets needs
• Crisis support & stabilisation: With empathy and expertise you accompany challenging situations and help users to overcome crises successfully
• Documentation & organisation: You ensure proper documentation and take on administrative tasks as a basis for reliable care

• You have completed vocational training or a degree in education, remedial education or special needs care or similar
• Experience working with people with mental illness and addiction is desirable
• You hold a class B driving licence
• You have basic knowledge of IT and office applications and routinely use digital documentation systems such as DoSys in your daily work
• You work cooperatively, engage respectfully with the life worlds of clients and support them with commitment in coping with life
• You work independently, make well-founded decisions in daily work and keep an overview even in demanding situations
