Qualified Education and Care Professional | Fichtenbusch | Rheda-Wiedenbrück

Bethel.regional seeks a qualified disability support worker, educator or special education professional (m/f/d) to support children and young people with disabilities at Haus Fichtenbusch in Rheda-Wiedenbrück. This permanent part-time role offers up to 19.5 hours per week. The start date is flexible, preferably as soon as possible. The stated starting salary is based on full-time work of 39 hours per week and two years of relevant experience.

• Targeted support: Care for children and young people with intellectual disabilities, often alongside autism, mental or physical disabilities and challenging behaviour
• Group work: Work in one of the home's five small groups and care for four young residents each day
• Daily support: Encourage and support children and young people with everyday routines, including morning tasks such as brushing teeth and washing
• Individual development: Support children and young people according to their care plans. As a key worker, create individual educational activities, support them at school, work with parents and help them take part in decisions
• Leisure activities: Plan leisure time with children and young people after school, at weekends and during holidays, contributing creative ideas for crafts, practical projects and outings
• De-escalation: Use proven techniques to calmly reduce tension and find solutions in challenging situations

• Qualification: You have completed vocational training in disability support or education, or a degree in special education
• ProDeMa®: Ideally, you have completed basic ProDeMa® training
• Experience: You have specialist knowledge of working with children and young people with disabilities
• Flexibility: You are willing to work shifts (early shift 06:15 to 14:00 and late shift 13:30 to 21:15) and two weekends per month
