Heat and energy are our contribution to quality of life – every day anew. As BEW Berliner Energie und Wärme GmbH, we supply our customers with electricity and heat. Our district heating network, with a length of more than 2,000 kilometers, is the largest in Western Europe. We supply about a third of Berlin's apartments with district heating. With the expertise of our approximately 2,400 employees, we cover the entire value chain of district heating – from generation through network operation and expansion to sales. In parallel, we are working intensively on the coal phase-out by 2030 and climate-neutral heat generation by 2045. Without electrical energy, almost nothing works today. Whether in power plants, companies, or homes: Experts are needed everywhere who know how energy can be generated, transported, controlled, and converted. Electronics technicians for operating technology possess this competence. They can also get hands-on at any time – in power plant and heating systems, workshops, or service areas. As an electronics technician for operating technology, you install control and switch cabinets in electrical systems, maintain them, and put them into operation, applying your control engineering knowledge. The apprenticeship at BEW Berliner Energie und Wärme GmbH is practice-oriented and promotes independent planning and execution of work.
