Process Engineer Automation - PCS 7 Specialist

At its production site in Mainz "An der Goldgrube", BioNTech is looking for an experienced automation engineer to implement and further develop the PCS 7 process control system.

• Development, implementation and optimization of processes in the Siemens PCS 7 process control system
• Technical leadership and support of automation projects, especially for process engineering plants
• Analysis and solution of complex technical challenges in process automation
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation and carrying out FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests) and SATs (Site Acceptance Tests)
• Ensuring data security and integrity in automation systems
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to implement process improvements

• Completed degree in engineering, process engineering or automation technology, or a comparable qualification (e.g. technician)
• Proven experience with Siemens PCS 7 and in-depth knowledge of system architecture and implementation
• Sound knowledge of process engineering processes and experience in GMP-compliant production desirable
• Very good German skills (C1) and good English skills (B2)
• Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking and a structured way of working
• Teamwork, communication skills and willingness to keep developing in an innovative environment
