Senior Service Technician

As the primary digitalisation partner of the Bundeswehr, BWI provides stable, secure and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad. The Service Center Wilhelmshaven ensures decentralised service delivery for over 50 sites and a permanent on-site presence of BWI GmbH at Bundeswehr properties. You will strengthen the Technical Field Service team.

• Tool-supported intake, analysis and resolution of faults in PC, telephony, LAN and WAN environments
• Carrying out on-site work for IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) orders in IT and telecom environments
• Compliance with defined response and fault-clearing times and on-site support of central operating units
• Working in the ticket system and complete tool-supported documentation
• Carrying out DGUV V3 inspections and accompanying companies in the technical environment
• Contributing to sub-projects in IT and telecom infrastructure, relocation projects and rollouts
• Contributing to quality assurance measures (e.g. LAN documentation)
• Cyclical on-call duty and taking part in on-call service

• Successfully completed vocational training in IT or communications technology (e.g. IT systems electronics technician) or a comparable qualification
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in IT, telecom or network environments
• Knowledge and experience of analogue telecom systems, operation and fault clearing
• Comprehensive knowledge of ticket systems, knowledge databases, CMDB/asset management systems
• Experience in project management and project handling in the public sector or industry is an advantage
• Qualified person for testing work equipment according to VDE 0701-0702 is an advantage
• Fluent German skills, English skills are an advantage
• Initiative, independent work, customer and quality orientation, teamwork
• Class B driving licence required
