Consultant IT Projects Land & Special Operations

As part of BWI's Center of Excellence Consulting, the IT systems house of the Bundeswehr, you support digitalisation projects in land operations and special forces in the Bundeswehr in the consulting field "Land & Special Operations".

• Support and sub-project management of digitalisation projects that are highly relevant for the armed forces and especially for soldiers
• Advice and support in IT operations by developing and rolling out IT operations processes and the related concepts
• Advice and support for the customer in the technical implementation of projects, on opportunities for applying technology trends and in different phases of the procurement process
• Contributing experience, skills, knowledge and ideas to the professional and content development of the consulting field "Land & Special Operations"
• Conceptual advice and support for requirements consulting, IT service development, process analyses, experiments and studies
• Acting as an interface between the Bundeswehr, industry and internal stakeholders
• Advice and support in requirements management and creation of project-related documents and concepts
• Taking responsibility for implementing new strategies, structures and processes
• Leading and coordinating deployed teams and subcontractors

• Completed relevant university degree in (business) informatics, (industrial) engineering, organisational sciences, business administration or economics, or proof of a comparable qualification
• At least two years of relevant work experience after a degree or five years of relevant work experience after vocational training
• Experience in IT operations, ideally in the Bundeswehr environment
• Experience in strategy, technology or IT consulting and/or experience in the Bundeswehr or multinational organisations is absolutely required
• Experience in a command area of land-based operations/special operations (e.g. operations, logistics, plans, communications, training) desirable
• Experience in armament and procurement processes of the Bw desirable
• Knowledge and practical skills in relevant methods such as design thinking, agile approaches, etc.
• Sense of responsibility, a high degree of initiative and results orientation
• Customer orientation, creativity and the ability to structure information and present it visually for the audience
• Strong communication and social skills, constructive handling and resolution of conflicts
• Fluent German and good English, spoken and written
• Willingness to travel (approx. 30%)
