Junior Management Officer Defence Innovation Center

As a Junior Management Officer (m/f/d), you support the leadership team of the BWI Defence Innovation Center, the primary digitalization partner of the Bundeswehr, in a responsible and varied role with plenty of room for personal and professional development. The Defence Innovation Center enables fast, effective testing of new ideas with and for the Bundeswehr.

• Supporting the management level of the Defence Innovation Center and independently coordinating and tracking cross-department topics and work packages
• Coordination and alignment with internal and external stakeholders and relevant interfaces
• Carrying out research and analyses and creating evaluations and statistics; structured, audience-appropriate preparation of complex and partly technical topics as presentations and communication materials
• Supporting and coordinating projects, strategic special topics and cross-department initiatives, including contributing to OKR cycles
• Planning, organizing and coordinating events, offsites, workshops, meetings and business trips
• Supporting the internal and external communication of the department, and aligning on and creating related content
• Supporting managers and organizational units by taking on administrative tasks and department-specific processing tasks, e.g. handling orders and special procurements of hardware and software for the DIC area
• Contributing to strategic special tasks and short-notice topics from the management level

• Completed degree related to technology, management or communication, e.g. business informatics, business administration, communication studies or similar (absolutely required)
• First practical experience in project coordination, management support, communication or comparable fields, e.g. through an internship or working student job (absolutely required)
• Interest in innovation, digitalization and strategic topics in the IT environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills and enjoyment of working with different stakeholders
• Independent, structured and reliable way of working and the ability to coordinate and follow up on several topics in parallel
• Initiative, hands-on mentality and willingness to keep learning
• Confident handling of preparing and presenting information for the target audience
• Willingness to take occasional (also international) business trips
• Very good German skills and good English skills
