Machine Operator (fixed term of 12 months)

Carl Zeiss CMP GmbH is part of the global ZEISS manufacturing network and produces highly corrected spherical optical systems, used mainly in high-performance microscope objectives. As a machine operator, you play a key role in making sure the optical components are made to the highest quality. The job is limited to 12 months.

• Precise processing of lenses and optical components to set specifications
• Creating simple machining programs on our production machines
• Preparing and setting up machines in series production
• Processing and checking workpieces according to quality requirements
• Detecting and fixing disruptions in the production process
• Carrying out maintenance and repair work on the equipment

• Successfully completed vocational training, e.g. as precision optician, optician or dental technician, or comparable technical/craft training
• Ideally first professional experience in precision optics, optics manufacturing or a similar environment
• Willingness to work in at least a 2-shift rotating shift model
• Strong teamwork skills and enjoyment of precise, delicate manual work
• High reliability and the ability to work in a focused and careful way
• Confident use of a PC desirable, ideally first experience with SAP
• Good German skills, spoken and written
• This role is offered as a fixed-term contract for 12 months
